Visa Procedure

Please note: Validity of the Visa starts on the day of issue and NOT on the date of entry into India.

Application forms should be filled in legibly and clearly in bold CAPITAL LETTERS in black / blue ink only.

Following documents are required to be submitted for Visa.

1. Visa application form.
2. Recent Photographs, 02 nos. coloured. (4 X 4 cms)
3. Passport with at least SIX months validity and at least TWO blank pages.
4. Supporting documents. If the visa applied for is other than a Tourist visa, the application should be accompanied by relevant supporting documents.
5. Visa Fee (as per Fee schedule) (Payment is accepted in US Dollars, Cash only).

Requirements for non-Vietnamese applicants:


a. All Non-Vietnamese applicants who hold long-term Vietnamese Visas or Residence permit should also submit a copy of the same alongwith a letter from their employer and any other proof of residence as required by the Visa officer.

b. Non-Vietnamese citizens who hold Tourist or short-term visas for Vietnam should apply for Indian Visas in the countries of their permanent residence. In case of emergency or special circumstance, an application could be made at the Indian Embassy, Hanoi. Such applicants should remit an additional fee of $20 to cover the cost of reference for verification to be made to their country of origin.

c. The processing time is usually 4 to 5 working days.

d. PAKISTANI applicants are required to fill in FIVE sets of applications with FIVE photographs.

e. BANGLADESHI applicants are required to fill in THREE sets of applications with THREE photographs. (it usually takes more days to process visa applications of passport holders of Pakistan & Bangladesh).
